Every Piece Has a Story

Sending inspiration from Moscow this week. Today we had the pleasure of visiting Artplay – the Russian counterpart to our D&D in Manhattan. A warehouse space converted to showrooms, the inspiration is endless.

Artplay3Our favorite find was actually a message placed in a showroom window – “Every piece has a story.” It is a reminder that going into the market is more than sourcing concrete items. It’s about finding elements that resonate with the story of the home – A pop of color that introduces a new character into the room.

In our lives and homes, we all have an ever changing story. What will your next chapter be?

An Afternoon at the Met

Saturday afternoon we got up close and personal with this oil painting by Anselm Kiefer. What beauty was found in the textures and colors! Art from all eras consistently serves as inspiration for the work we do at REGER.

More information on this piece, ‘Bohemia Lies by the Sea’, can be found here.

This week we had the opportunity to visit the new RH Contemporary Art gallery. The Restoration Hardware expansion into the art world creates an oasis in the bustling meatpacking neighborhood of Manhattan.

The 4 floors of the gallery are featuring artists  Nathan Baker, Toby Christian, Peter Demos, Natasha Wheat, and Samantha Thomas through January 25, 2014.

A true New York holiday always includes the window displays along Fifth Avenue. Our favorite is always Bergdorf’s and this year we were so thrilled to see our darling Randi Rahm featured that we had to share!

Wishing you a holiday season filled with much love, warmth and beauty!
